We wanted to take a brief moment to remind you of our Policies for PSM Empowered when it comes to weather.

  1. Be safe and use your best judgment! No matter what the travel advisory stage is here in Allen County, we do not know how the weather is where you live or what it is like between you and us. So, use your best judgment! We only ask that you don’t use the weather as an excuse not to come to practice.

  2. PSM Empowered will NOT close unless Allen County issues a RED travel warning (please familiarize yourself with the chart below) or if the PSM Empowered facility/parking lot is somehow “unsafe” for its patrons.

  3. PSM Empowered has a full-time snow removal crew. We will do our best to make sure the lot is clear and salted. However, weather changes quickly, and even if the lot is perfect at 5pm, it may not be at 9pm, so we need all our families to drive and walk safely in the lot and sidewalks when coming and going.

  4. PSM Empowered buys additional floor mats for the winter. We asked you to use them. We want to keep the lobby safe as well from bringing in snow/ice.

  5. Players MUST take their outdoor footwear off prior to entering the gym. Again, for safety reasons.

  6. Please encourage your athlete to dress appropriately when coming to and leaving from practice. It IS COAT weather:). We know the kids today don’t like to use coats, but we need our athletes healthy for a long club season.

  7. LASTLY AND HIGHLY IMPORTANT, do not call or email PSM Empowered about the weather. We will make a decision on practices by 2pm to ensure that everyone knows in plenty of time. If you don’t see a post, email, or message from us…PSM Empowered is open. You can contact your coach if necessary.
